Changes of tooth angulation, anterior - posterior skeletal relationship and vertical - skeletal relationship in class II division I malocclusion treated with MEAW

Abstract

|
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the changes of the tooth Axis to palatal plane and mandibular plane, the anterior-posterior skeletal relationship (SNA, SNB, ANB, APDI), vertical skeletal relationship (FMA, ODI) through the comparison of pre and post treatment.
The lateral cephalogram of class II d;vision I malocclusion group (23 cases, Male 13, Female 10) was traced, analysed and compared by student´s T-test.
The results of this study were as follows.
1. Change of maxillary central incisor to palatal plane and mandibular central incisor to mandibular plane is shown to be significant.
2. Change of anterior - posterior skeletal relationship(APDI) is improved positively. 3.. The vertical skeletal change is proved to be insignificant.
